Where does KAMUN take place?

KAMUN takes place in Karlsruhe, which is located in Southern Germany.

When will KAMUN take place?

KAMUN 2019 will take place on the weekend from 15 - 17 November 2019.

Who organizes KAMUN?

The conference KAMUN is organized by the Model United Nations Initiative Karlsruhe e.V., a university group of about 15 students.

How big and international is the conference?

In 2018 there have been about 150 delegates from 22 nations participating at the KAMUN conference.

Do I need MUN experience?

No. There are several committees to attend, each with a suggestion regarding your MUN experience.

How much does the conference cost?

Just 55 Euro per delegate. Look here, to see what is included.

How can I pay for the conference?

We offer a normal bank transfer as well as a PayPal option. You should be able to see the bank details on your confirmation email. If not, shoot us a message at secretariat@kamun.org.

How do I / we request a country assignment?

Please select your favorite committees and nations and you will be assigned as soon as possible.

What is the deadline for applications?

Chair applications will close in late July. Last minute delegate registration will close on November 10th 2019.

Do I have to submit position papers?

As soon as you are assigned to a nation and committee, you are able to submit a position paper via email to your chairs. All required information can be found on the respective committee pages.

What happens with the personal information and documents I send you?

We use your data for preparation and administration of the conference only.

I have problems with my registration. What can I do?

Of course, we strive for your convenience during registration as best as we can. Should any questions and inquiries remain, feel free to contact us via our contact page.

How many delegates may represent a country?

Each member state is represented by one delegate. There will be no double seated committees at KAMUN 2019.

Are electronical devices allowed during the sessions?

During the sessions there are no electronical devices allowed in the committee, unless otherwise specified by the chair. Of course, as during unmoderated caucus writing working papers and resolutions will require the use of electronical devices, they will be allowed to that matter.

Will there be a dress code during the conference?

The guideline for the dress code of KAMUN 2019 is western business attire.

What is the conference language?

English is the official and working language of the conference.

Are meals included in the conference fee?

Yes, included in the conference fee are:

  • Drinks and Snacks at all times,
  • Lunch and Drinks on Saturday and Sunday,
  • Delegate Dinner on Saturday and
  • Breakfast on Sunday.

How can I get WiFi at KAMUN?

Students from European universities can use the eduroam network which is provided all over the campus. If you do not come from Europe, we will be glad to provide you with a single-time key to our university network at the registration.
